Shenandoah Valley Libertarian Republicans Caucus

For those of us who have a libertarian ideology but find that the best bet for getting things done is through the Republican Party. Small government, high on freedoms. Some would call us liberal republicans for not sharing the so-called "conservative" social views, even though we share most other conservative views. Meanwhile, some of us want to distance ourselves from the national Libertarian Party. We think that the government has NO place in the personal lives of its citizens. The local, state and national problems of taxation, transportation issues, education, health care and public safety are too great to be concerned with a person’s faith or other religious theology, sexual orientation or race.
If you're a Republican or anyone really who believes in limited government -- whether you're from the old right, a Goldwater Republican, Libertarian Republican even independent-- the SVLRC is a place where you can voice your views openly.

Founded in 2009, the SVLRC exists to promote individual liberty, limited government, and free enterprise within the Republican Party in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley by:
a) promoting these ideals among Party officials and its various organizationsb) identifying and supporting candidates sympathetic with these ideals, and c) promoting Caucus membership among Republican Party registrants, officials, and officeholders.
